To strengthen our Northern Europe Technology team, we’re searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Specialist to help optimise our digital tools and processes across the region. 

  

Your role 

 

As our Product Specialist, you’ll be part of a team responsible for continuously improving how our digital products deliver real value to the business. You’ll work at the heart of where technology meets day-to-day operations — helping to turn complex challenges into practical, impactful solutions. 

You’ll be the go-to expert on your product(s), ensuring they support our business needs today and evolve to meet the needs of tomorrow. You’ll collaborate across technology and business teams to drive high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions. 

Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Acting as a subject matter expert on your product’s functionality, integrations, and role in business processes 

  • Translating business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories for technical teams 

  • Supporting backlog refinement and sprint activities to ensure product priorities are well understood and deliver real value 

  • Collaborating with testers and developers to define and validate acceptance criteria and usability 

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with vendors and third-party providers, ensuring quality and alignment 

  • Helping document key product knowledge and communicating upcoming changes across teams 

  • Ensuring transparency and shared understanding between technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • Continuously contributing to improving team ways of working and product outcomes through knowledge sharing and reflection 

 

In the role of Product Specialist, you’ll report directly to the Technology Product Manager. 

Some occasional travel (2–3 times a month) within Northern Europe may be expected in this role.

  • Familiar with Agile ways of working and flexible to changing priorities 

  • Understanding of system documentation and IT collaboration

Your development 

  

Within 3 months, you’ll:   

 

  • Be onboarded and build your network within Specsavers NE 

  • Gain understanding of the company, the role and the expectations 

  • Support/work on delivering value into our Business according to your Product roadmap and annual plan together with the Clinical Technology team 

 

Within 6-12 months, you: 

   

  • Run, plan, and manage deliveries with the Clinical Technology team, business stakeholders, and vendors. 

  • Understand your Product’s key functionality, integrations, and role in business processes 

  • Can be the go-to-person for the product owner, the team, as well as external parties and/or vendors for details on the product.
