We’re pleased to receive our fifth honour with Great Place to Work® this year, ranking as a 2024 Best Workplace in British Columbia.
The Best Workplaces in British Columbia list includes companies headquartered within the province, celebrating organizations offering the most positive employee experience in the region.
We opened our doors in British Columbia in 2021 and have since grown our support office (Burnaby) and distribution centre (Delta) to a team of 175+ colleagues, supporting more than 140 Specsavers locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
Workplaces received this recognition after a thorough and independent analysis carried out by Great Place to Work®.
“We’re proud to offer a whole host of benefits for our teams, including comprehensive benefits, a flexible (hybrid) work model, a paid volunteer day each year, RRSP matching, quarterly performance bonuses, and in-office events and celebrations. We’re glad to see that these benefits are being reflected in our colleagues’ experience,” says Shiah Bazeley, People Director.
In addition to ranking 16th in the Great Place to Work® World’s Best Workplaces™ as a global organization, Specsavers Canada’s national recognitions from Great Place to Work® include overall 2024 Best Workplaces™, Best Workplaces for Women™, Best Workplaces for Giving Back™, and Best Workplaces in Retail/Hospitality™.
“It’s wonderful to see what started as such a small team in an office in Burnaby grow and now be included on five Best Workplace lists with Great Place To Work®. It’s a real testament to how far we’ve come since we opened in 2021,” says Bill Moir, Managing Director at Specsavers Canada.
