Maria knows an excellent culture drives a positive work-life experience
Maria joined Specsavers 18 months ago. Within a short time, she has managed to fulfil two roles within the support office – Audiology Recruitment Department and the Talent Acquisition Team.
“I found it rewarding working with such passionate individuals and supporting our people throughout their partnership journey,” says Maria.
Maria brings a depth of knowledge with five years of experience in the recruitment industry, including agency, high volume retail, joint venture partners, and support office roles.
It did not take much convincing before Maria decided to follow her recruitment advice and come on board as a Specsavers recruit. She’s living her values in every aspect of her career and knows what makes a company a great place to work.
She recently joined the People and Organisation Department as a Talent Acquisition Partner and continues to enjoy working with a variety of staff across the Support Office.

Maria’s day to day work varies with her responsibilities overseeing recruitment roles across several departments in the Support Office.
“I support the end-to-end recruitment life-cycle. This includes sourcing candidates, creating and delivering selection processes, talent pooling and collaborating with a variety of departments and individuals to deliver projects,” says Maria.
Maria has worked on several key internal initiatives and assisted with project rollouts, including recruitment and candidate guides, the careers video, and the careers ladder initiative.
Maria’s job satisfaction is high as she enjoys the variety of work and the friendship’s made both within her team and across the business. Maria believes our people are why Specsavers is a great place to work.
“My overall enjoyment comes from the experience I have within my team. The Talent Acquisition Team are a lively, personable, fun, and hardworking,” adds Maria.
