When not working from an alternate location, the Senior IT Project Manager role will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne. 

Due to the nature of some projects, occasional after-hours meetings may be required. 

The role & team 

Our dynamic and energetic Project Managers facilitate the delivery of technology and data solutions for a wide-ranging portfolio of exciting local and global projects. You will lead the delivery of projects using waterfall and agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and technical requirements. 

In your role as a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of both technology transformation and data initiatives across Specsavers ANZ, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the broader business, technology and data strategy. This includes managing scope, timelines and quality standards, while driving the effective execution of prioritised backlogs in line with business objectives, technical and data requirements 

 
The skills we are looking for 

We’re looking for a delivery leader who can drive complex technology and data transformation programs with confidence and clarity. You’ll bring: 

• Over 10 years of project and program delivery experience, including at least 5 years leading large, multi‑stream technology and data initiatives within complex matrixed environments (essential) 

• Proven success leading major projects from on‑premise to SaaS migrations, including detailed cutover planning and seamless service transition into global support models (essential) 

• Skilled at shaping early project scope into clear delivery plans, timelines, and resourcing, while leading cross‑functional teams (Architecture, Data Engineering, Analytics, BA, Testing, Reporting) and keeping business and technical stakeholders closely aligned. 

• Hands‑on experience delivering software and modern data platform initiatives, including work with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI, and comfortable leading both agile and waterfall delivery with sprint planning, backlog refinement, and key ceremonies. 

• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives at once and stay grounded in fast‑moving delivery environments, with strong change leadership to set direction, influence outcomes, and build momentum. Formal project management qualifications (PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) are a bonus.
