Join Specsavers as our new Technology Product Owner in our Audiology Product Team and play a key role in shaping the vision, roadmap, and delivery of technology products that support our hearing care colleagues, customers, and business across Northern Europe.
Your role
As our Technology Product Owner within the Audiology Product Team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and continuously improving products that support our audiology business and create value for colleagues and customers across Northern Europe.
You will report into the Technology Product Manager and own the roadmap, backlog, and release planning, working closely with agile teams, (business analysts, architects, product specialists, business stakeholders, and external partners). Acting as the voice of the product, you will balance strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, and user insights to drive meaningful product outcomes. You are a strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in complex environments, brings people together around a shared vision, and inspires confidence in your product decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the roadmap, backlog, and release planning.
- The Product Owner is responsible for delivering what brings the most value to the organization from their product.
- Collaborate with agile teams, stakeholders and vendors to deliver valuable and impactful product outcomes.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment through clear and transparent communication.
- Gather feedback, and continuously improve the product based on user and business needs.
- Balance business requirements, user needs, and technical considerations to achieve the best outcomes.
- Manage the product throughout its lifecycle, from idea and development to retirement.
Your new team
You'll join our newly established Audiology Product Team within the Northern Europe Technology function and work closely with Product Managers, agile development teams, architects, business stakeholders and external vendors.
As part of a collaborative and international environment, you'll help ensure our products meet customer needs while supporting business goals and strategic priorities. Together, we focus on delivering solutions that create lasting value for our colleagues, customers, and business.
Our Audiology platform supports our instore customer journey and consists of:
- Patient Management system incl. Clinical Journal.
- Integration services.
- Clinical Devices for capture of Hearing test measurements and examinations
What are we looking for?
We are preferably looking for a candidate with the following competencies:
- Experience owning and developing technology products in complex business environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of agile product development and value-driven prioritisation.
- Ability to navigate complexity, balance competing priorities, and make sound product decisions.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering customer and business value.
It would be an advantage if you have:
- Experience in Product Management or Product Ownership, ideally supported by a certification such as PSPO or CSPO.
- Experience working across multiple business functions, countries, or distributed teams.
- Experience with facilitation and discovery methods
- Knowledge of retail, healthcare, optometry, audiology, or other customer-focused environments.
