Data Privacy Statement – Norway

By submitting this job application to us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Data Privacy Statement and for your personal information (which might include sensitive personal information) to be processed and held by (i) Specsavers Norway AS (a company registered in Norway and with company number 987644087, and its registered office is Grenseveien 107 B, 3rd floor. 0663 Oslo, Norway) (“Specsavers”) (which is part of the Specsavers Group of Companies); (ii) Specsavers Optical Group Limited, La villiaze, St Andrews Guernsey GY8 6YP (outside of EEA); (iii) Specsavers Optical Group, UK (outside of EEA)(and (iv) other companies within the Specsavers Group (we will always ensure that you information is protected to a GDPR equivalent level, regardless of where it is held For the purpose of your personal data both Specsavers Norway AS and Specsavers Optical Group Limited will be Data Controllers, whereas other companies within the Specsavers Group will be Data Processors.

For the purposes of data protection, Specsavers has a nominated person within the European Union.  This is our Data Protection and Privacy Manager based in Denmark.  You can contact them via dataprotection@specsavers.com.

We will, in accordance with Article 6, section 1, litra a, b and/or f of the General Data Protection regulation (GDPR), process the personal data on you, which is provided to us as part of your job application, including possibly sensitive or special category data, personal data that we may receive from your references or which is collected or obtained as part of tests you submit to as well as other personal data on you made public and which is collected and included in the application process.

We process your personal data by means of a people process management software solution, which is hosted by and provided to Specsavers Group by SAP (UK) Limited, Clockhouse place, Bedfont Road, Feltham, Middlesex United Kingdom, TW14 8HD (SAP). All data is held within the EEA, Guernsey or the UK.

Access to the information you provide to us shall be restricted to authorised users only and is treated in the strictest confidence and shall only be used for the purposes of processing your application.

If you are successful – upon successful completion of the assessment process, Specsavers will seek your authorisation to commission a third party security organisation to conduct the following (as permissible by law): an identity check, obtain employer and personal references, credit rating, (if applicable) criminal record check and (if applicable) confirmation of your professional registration and will also commence processing your personal data in order to prepare your employment contract and administer your employment.

If you are unsuccessful in your job application or withdraw, we shall hold your job application and other information supplied (and any notes made by ourselves on our files) for a period of 4 weeks after you have received your final feedback or withdrawn, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. In such circumstances, your information will be held in our candidate management system. This information is held on Specsavers’ behalf by its processor Avature Limited of International House, 124 Cromwell Road, Kensington, London SW7 4ET. All data is held within the EEA or in Guernsey.

We will, in case you consent, hold your details on file for future references as part of our candidate relationship management system and we may contact you about other suitable opportunities as they arise, for a maximum period of 1 year. If you’d prefer that we don’t, you can always withdraw your consent by contacting us at recruitment.ne@specsavers.com.

You have the right to request access to and rectification or deletion of your personal data as well as request for our processing to be restricted. In the event you request deletion of your personal data or restriction of our processing prior to the completion of your job application process, this will mean that the processing of your job application is discontinued. A similar request made after you have been informed that you were unsuccessful in your application, will be handled equally (whether or not as withdrawal of your consent).
