About the position:

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape Specsavers’ data, analytics and AI agenda across Australia and New Zealand, driving strategic transformation and delivering measurable business impact. Working closely with executive leaders, business stakeholders and global data teams, you will develop and govern the regional data roadmap, ensuring initiatives are aligned to strategic priorities and deliver measurable business value. You will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. The role is accountable for strengthening data governance, quality, compliance and risk management, ensuring data remains a trusted and secure asset across the organisation.

As a visible advocate for data-driven decision making, you will partner with stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Technology, Operations and Transformation teams to embed data, insights and AI into everyday business practices. You'll also build organisational capability by improving data literacy, driving adoption of analytical solutions and creating an environment where data enables better business and customer outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated success guiding stakeholders through complex data and analytics transformations within a global enterprise environment
• Proven strategic leadership, with experience defining data strategies and translating them into actionable roadmaps that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a consistently positive approach.
• Strong leadership of cross-functional data and technology teams, with a track record of building high-performing cultures
• Strong data background with expertise in modern data and analytics platforms, technologies, and industry trends, with experience in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks highly regarded
