Clinical Coordinator

At Specsavers, our Clinical Coordinators play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the clinic and are a key pillar of the customer journey. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that patients attending appointments are seen promptly and efficiently, helping to maintain a seamless and well-organised experience throughout their visit. As the first point of contact for many patients, Clinical Coordinators are instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the clinic, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to a positive and professional experience for every customer.

Located in the heart of Flint, the Specsavers store is a busy and welcoming practice committed to delivering outstanding customer care and high-quality eye and hearing services to the local community. With a supportive and experienced team, the store offers a fast-paced and rewarding environment where colleagues are encouraged to develop their skills and progress their careers. Conveniently located in the town centre, the store is easily accessible by public transport, with Flint railway station and several local bus routes within walking distance, providing good links to the surrounding areas. What we’re looking for? 

Some of the responsibilities of this role include: 

• Coordinating patient appointments and clinic schedules.
• Delivering excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
• Managing patient enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
• Supporting clinicians with administrative and operational tasks.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitoring appointment availability and clinic capacity.
• Liaising with colleagues and external providers to support patient care.
• Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and health and safety standards.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
• Helping to improve the patient experience and clinic performance.

This includes: 

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within healthcare, optical, audiology, retail, or hospitality.
• Experience coordinating appointments, schedules, or diaries in a busy environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and prioritising multiple tasks.
• Experience in Optics or Audiology is preferred but not essential
