Optometry is about caring for the health of your eyes. To get started here, you’ll need a strong background in science and enjoy speaking to and helping people. It’s a career path that’s in demand, pays well and offers flexible working hours.

Good customer service skills can be a big help too. There are loads of ways to start and develop in Audiology, with support to grow in the way you choose.

Thinking about a medical career? Take a look at this. Optometry is more than just glasses. It’s detecting and diagnosing abnormalities and diseases using the latest technology. It’s identifying problems with health – think high blood pressure and diabetes. It’s about changing and saving lives. Interested? As our population ages, there is a growing demand for both optometrists and audiologists. Working with us can offer young people job stability, flexibility, great support and a range of development opportunities. We hold school workshops in certain areas of the UK to give an insight into our work and encourage anyone who’s interested to ask about work experience in store.
