Sustainability at Specsavers
Doing better for the planet and our communities
What sustainability means to us
We’re all about changing lives through better sight and hearing, but we can only do the great things we do if we work to look after our planet and communities, as well as our customers, patients and colleagues. So, it’s important to us that we aim to put sustainability at the heart of our organisation. And with ambitious targets and plans, we’re working on doing just that.
Our Commitment and Targets
We’re striving to be more sustainable across our entire business and supply chain, and this means setting targets and making changes to help us get there. Alongside our social goal of improving quality-of-life for disadvantaged people, our environmental goals include:
- Becoming carbon net zero by 2050 across our operations and supply chain
- Using less packaging but more sustainable materials
- Reducing and recycling water wherever possible.
We know there’s loads more to do
But we’re determined to reach all of our targets. Every Specsavers role has sustainability at the forefront, and every one of our 45,000+ colleagues can make a positive difference. So we can keep doing what we do best, for as long as possible.

Optics Partner
The Specsavers partnership has always allowed, even encouraged me, to grow professionally beyond anything I expected when I started my career. The partnership is like a family, passionately empowering absolutely everyone to embrace their own unique talents.
