What is home visits?
Home visits is our team of mobile opticians and audiologists that provide eye care and hear care services to those who are unable to leave home unaccompanied due to a physical or mental illness or disability. A service we have offered for ten years now to support our ambition of making eye and hearing care accessible to all. Here, you’ll see the difference you can make first hand. As you spend time with each patient in their own home, you’ll be able to see how they live and what’s most important to them. You can change lives through better sight and hearing, whether it’s helping people to watch their favourite show, read a text message or call a loved one. And we’ll be there to support you as you learn new clinical skills and develop your career further.

How do we work?
In Home Visits, you’re out on the road, travelling around a local area to visit the patients who need your help. Our optometrists work alongside experienced optical assistants at each visit. This means that our optometrists can focus on the clinical work and spend more time with their patients to understand their needs. Each team is supported locally by a wider team of office-based schedulers, clinical field teams and partners. No two days are the same, you can enjoy variety and flexibility in your working life, and we offer both part-time and full-time roles.
