The role

As our Contact Lens Supervisor, you’ll make sure that the store’s Contact Lens area runs like clockwork. That means supporting other staff, making sure they’re familiar with systems and helping to deliver training. You’ll also be responsible for handling orders and dealing directly with customers in the contact centre clinic. You’ll show people how to insert, remove and care for their lenses, as well as assisting the Contact Lens Optician. For a role such as this, you will need experience in a similar role, or as a Contact Lens Assistant or Optical Assistant looking to utilise your passion for contact lenses, equally important are good customer care skills. Our store
Based in Shirley, Hampshire, our store is looking for someone with previous optical experience that can confidently dispense to join their committed and friendly team.

What we’re looking for?
If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Contact Lens Supervisor. These include:

  • Previous optical experience as an Optical or Contact Lens Assistant or Dispensing Assistant
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
  • Great teamwork and adaptability
  • Confidence in using IT systems
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new
  • Able to receive feedback and be open to development, knowing we’ll be there to support and guide you throughout your process (with your openness and our guidance, your opportunities will be endless).
