Full Time, Permanent

The role

So, you’re a proactive people person ready to be the friendly face our stores need? Sounds like you’d be a great fit here. So, if you’ve had previous optical experience as a Contact Lens Assistant or Dispensing Assistant, this Contact Lens Supervisor role could be perfect for you.

As our Contact Lens Supervisor, you’ll make sure that the store’s Contact Lens area runs like clockwork. That means supporting other staff, making sure they’re familiar with systems and helping to deliver training. You’ll also be responsible for handling orders and dealing directly with customers in the contact centre clinic. You’ll show people how to insert, remove and care for their lenses, as well as assisting the Contact Lens Optician.

As a Contact Lens Supervisor, you’ll use your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team.

Our business

Based within a shopping centre in Woking, we are a large and busy store, with fantastic public transport links and subsidised parking.

Our team

We have a wonderful team of dedicated people in our store ready and waiting for you to meet.  We regularly socialise and love to have fun together as a team!

What’s on offer?

As well as all the support you need and great training and development opportunities, we have a whole load of benefits on offer for you to enjoy. These include:

  • Up to £27,000 (depending on age)
  • 40 hours per week (with weekends)
  • Bonus if store targets are met
  • Clear progression opportunities
  • We will auto-enroll you into the pension scheme with an employer contribution when you contribute too
  • Specsavers Perks - a portal to a world of great everyday discounts and savings
  • WeCare - our employee support service to help you and your immediate family when you need it most
  • Complimentary subscription to the Headspace app
  • Eyecare and hearcare discounts for you and your family
  • Enjoy an additional paid day off on your birthday to celebrate you!
  • Enhanced family leave and company sick pay

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Contact Lens Assistant. These include:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Experience in optics business
  • Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology
