The role
Divisional Retail Trainer – Inspire, Develop, and Make a Difference
At Specsavers, we’re here to change lives through better sight and hearing. We believe in delivering outstanding value, being loved by every customer, and creating a workplace where every colleague feels proud to belong. And as we grow, we know that great training is the key to unlocking potential.
That’s where you come in. As a Divisional Retail Trainer, you’ll be at the heart of colleague development, facilitating learning that’s practical, engaging, and truly impactful. You’ll use your experience in Optical, Audiology, and Domiciliary to bring training to life, blending techniques that challenge and inspire. You'll be delivering core development programmes and providing learning opportunities that colleagues feel are relevant and rewarding.
This role is all about connection. You’ll work alongside Retail Support teams and In-Store Trainers, building capability across the division and supporting organisational priorities. You’ll also use your consultancy skills to identify development needs and deliver solutions that drive performance and behaviour change. From coaching and mentoring to facilitating at divisional meetings and national events, you’ll be a visible learning specialist who partners with colleagues at every level.
You’ll bring strong facilitation skills, both face-to-face and virtual, along with the ability to plan, prioritise, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Your knack for building relationships and your customer-first mindset will set you apart. If you have technical knowledge in Optics, Audiology, or Domiciliary, that’s a bonus, but what really matters is your passion for helping people grow.
This is more than a training role, it’s a chance to shape careers, improve customer experiences, and make a real difference.
In this role you will be out in the field covering stores across the south region and will need to live in Doreset, Cornwall, Devon or Somerset.
If you’re ready to inspire and lead learning across our division, we’d love to hear from you.
