Domiciliary Optometrist

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that.  

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community. 

Our business  

Based on the island of Jersey in the Bay of St Malo, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes. Measuring only 45 square miles, it offers the best of rural living, whilst never being too far away from the sea. Spend your days off exploring hidden coves or enjoying a picturesque walk across the island, visiting one of its many castles and forts. Despite Jersey’s remote location, you will find excellent amenities in the capital of St Helier, including well-known high street retailers, local markets and ample café’s and restaurants.

Find out more 

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and you must have a full driving license. You’ll also need to be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service and be comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team.
