As a Finance Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of preparing the management accounts for UK Optics stores. In this role, you’ll ensure data accuracy and timely delivery, helping Store Directors understand their financial performance and tackle any queries related to their management and statutory accounts.

You’ll be at the forefront of producing the management accounts for stores and performing month-end processes, making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with Store Directors on accounting information regarding movements within the accounts, providing valuable insights on the profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. Your role will be key in ensuring the validity of key balances and transactions in the store ledgers.

You’ll also dive into debtor reconciliations and review trial balances for stores, ensuring everything adds up perfectly. You’ll be the go-to person for accounting queries, delivering excellent service while adhering to accounting standards and double-entry principles to post into store management accounts. Plus, you’ll prepare the statutory accounts for stores and associate papers under FRS102 1A, making sure everything is compliant and accurate.

We’re looking for someone who’s studying towards or has completed an entry-level accounting qualification, either AAT, ACCA, or CIMA. Strong knowledge of Excel, accounting standards, and double-entry bookkeeping is a must. Your effective communication approach, attention to detail, and organisational qualities will set you apart.
