Lab Technician

So, you’re a proactive, detail-oriented individual with Optical Lab experience and a passion for delivering high-quality customer outcomes? Sounds like you’d be a great fit here. As a skilled Lab Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring every pair of glasses is produced to the highest standards.

As a Lab Technician, you will use the latest computer-controlled equipment with accuracy and attention to detail, helping to maintain exceptional quality standards and maximise customer satisfaction.

Drawing on your previous Optical Lab experience, you will be part of a team responsible for preparing customers' spectacle orders, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring all eyewear is produced efficiently and to the highest standard.

The role: 

• Reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions 
• Using blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to the correct shape and fit 
• Assembling lenses into frames 
• Tinting of lenses to provide UV protection and a variety of colours 
• Attention to detail 
• Ordering frames and lenses 
• Quality checking of completed glasses 
• Good housekeeping and machine maintenance
