Our store
Specsavers Brighton London Road is a small, busy, community‑focused store located on one of Brighton’s main high streets, serving a diverse and loyal customer base. The store is well connected, with frequent bus routes nearby and Brighton London Road station just a short walk away, making commuting straightforward. There is convenient local parking available in the surrounding area, including nearby public car parks, offering flexibility for those who prefer to drive. The store provides a fast‑paced yet supportive working environment, with a strong focus on patient care, teamwork, and development.
Our team
You’ll become part of a close‑knit and encouraging team who genuinely care about delivering high standards of eye care and customer service. The store brings together skilled optometrists, dispensing opticians, and a knowledgeable retail team who work collaboratively to ensure every customer has a positive experience. There’s a strong emphasis on teamwork, shared learning, and supporting one another, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. We’re looking forward to welcoming someone who is motivated, brings new perspectives, and takes pride in providing excellent service. This role offers the chance to learn from experienced colleagues, build confidence in your abilities, and continue progressing within your optical career.

- £7.75 per hour
- 40 hours per week (to include weekend working)

Who is this Apprenticeship for?
If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant Apprentice.
- Individuals with GSCE Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C), or an equivalent level qualification
- Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the right to work in the UK
