Our store   

Specsavers Cirencester is a busy and well-established store located in the heart of the historic market town, providing expert eye and hearing care to the local community. The store benefits from a modern clinical environment, a supportive and experienced team, and a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Conveniently situated in Cirencester town centre, the store is easily accessible by public transport, with regular bus services connecting the town to surrounding areas. The nearby bus interchange is just a short walk away, and there are also excellent road links and parking options close to the store. This makes Specsavers Cirencester an accessible and welcoming workplace where team members are encouraged to develop their skills and build a rewarding career

At Specsavers Cirencester, you'll be joining a friendly, supportive, and experienced team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer care. Team members work closely together across optical and audiology services, creating a collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to share knowledge and support one another. Whether you're new to the industry or bringing previous experience, you'll receive ongoing training and development to help you build your confidence and progress your career. You’ll not only spend 15-18 months in a paid job, but also learn your trade while surrounded by our friendly, passionate and highly experienced team who’ll support you every step of the way.

• £8.20 per hour
• Full Time - 38 hours per week, to include working a weekend day

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.   

Who is this Apprenticeship for?  

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please take a moment to check you meet the criteria below before applying:

• You have GCSEs in Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C), or an equivalent qualification
• You’ve lived in the EU for at least 3 years and have the right to work in the UK
• You’re not currently enrolled in another government-funded course

• Providing style advice 
• Measuring frames 
• Taking phone calls
