Optical Assistant

So, you’re a proactive people person ready to be the friendly face our store needs? Sounds like you’d be a great fit here. If you have current or previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant, this Optical Assistant role could be perfect for you!

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll use your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team.

Based in Morningside, Edinburgh, with fantastic bus links, our store is platinum employer accredited and is a previous winner of technology practice of the year.

• Salary: up to £33,000 DOE (pro rata) + bonus

What we’re looking for? 

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant. These include:  

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Experience in optics working in a customer-facing retail store environment
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology
