Our store and Our Team

Specsavers in Barrow-in-Furness are looking for an Optometrist as we have recently relocated to a brand new store. We have 7 rooms kitted out with the newest equipment including OCT and Phoropters and a further room due to be completed soon, in total there will be 5 long form and 3 short form, 2 pre-test areas with the retail team focusing on the pre-tests. Clinics run between 9-5, however we can consider later starts or earlier finishes if you have commitments.

We are looking for a new Optometrist who will be working with 4 other Optometrists and working to 25 minute testing times, some of the team prefer 20 minute testing but there is no pressure for this.

The Directors really care about their team and it shows, they have set up a dedicated quiet/prayer room and foot washing facilities for those who wish to pray, separate to other areas. There is also a shower room if you don't have time at the gym or on those sunny days where you wish to take a brisk walk or cycle to work with an area to dry your towels. 

There is parking nearby either on-street which is free and a short walk to the store, or a car park closer to the store which is payable.
