About the store

Specsavers Wokingham first opened its doors in 2001 and has gone from strength to strength in this time.  Ideally located on a central high street location with accessible parking close by, the store benefits from high footfall in an affluent town, situated within commutable distance to London via the Elizabeth line.
The store had recently undergone a store boost and is looking fantastic! 6 new dispensing desks have been added, to compliment the 6 test rooms in place. Audiology services are offered two days a week out of a dual-purpose test room. 

Team
A team of 23 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home.  In place already you will find a strong management structure, looking after a team of optical assistants, 4 full time optometrists, plus a pre reg in place that will join in 2026. The remaining partner is a Dispensing Optician, adding to the strength of this brilliant business. 

There is opportunity as the new incoming optometry partner to focus on the development and growth of both the clinical and retail team. All are longstanding, passionate and work to deliver the highest standards possible. 
Store location
The store is in the affluent town of Wokingham, named as one of the best places to live by The Times.  Rich in history, culture and bustling with restaurants and eateries, you can explore the flavours of the world without needing to leave the area! Wokingham council also boasts 70 primary schools and 23 secondary schools, meaning you are spoilt for choice in the local area if you are planning for your family’s future. Wokingham also offers excellent transport links as its nestled between Bracknell and Reading, with London accessible within 40 mins via train. 

Requirements of the role
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, you’ll need to share the store’s ethos. They’re looking for someone who wants to grow and develop the team, offer exceptional customer care and improve patient outcomes. You’ll be a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach, and someone who is keen to get involved and build a rapport with their team. In summary, you’ll be a highly skilled Optometry professional willing and able to help drive the practice forward.
