About the store

Specsavers Ashington first opened its doors in 2003 and sits in a prominent position on the main high street. There are 3 test rooms as well as an on-site lab and free parking is available nearby.  A team of 10 dedicated and passionate staff call this store home. Major investment has been granted to open an entertainment complex which will include plenty of restaurants and a cinema as well which will bring more footfall to the area.  The rail links are excellent with big cities such as Newcastle and Sunderland close by and only an 8 minute drive to visit the seaside to visit Newbiggin by the sea. The store also provides enhanced clinical services and is a spoke to provide Audiology services to their customers. 

Requirements of the role

Alongside being an experienced retailer and a strong and proven background in optics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.  You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
