Retail Supervisor
As Retail Supervisor you will assist the store directors with the retail operations with a particular responsibility for supervising, coaching and motivating staff to achieve excellent technical standards and customer service and to exceed performance targets. You will support by using key performance indicators to increase sales, minimise costs and maximise profits and management team in the effective running of the store. You will support with supervising, coaching and motivating staff to achieve excellent retail standards and customer service. You will support by inspiring the team and using KPI’s to increase sales, minimise costs and maximise profits.

Your Role
- Be proactive in making sure the store is always looking its best and is presented to the highest standards. Have an eye for detail and put anything right that you come across that is not quite perfect.
- With a continuous improvement mindset look for and deliver commercial opportunities to improve the dispensing customer journey
- Ensure that the dispensing service provided in store complies with Group policies and procedure
- Liaise with the lab to ensure customers are given accurate information about their collection
- Ensure you maintain a commitment to continually develop yourself to strengthen your performance and leadership in an ever-changing business
- Be a role model for excellent management within your store so that every member of staff feels valued, so they give their best, enjoy their job and contribute to running a superb store
- Manage the recruitment of new dispensing staff members and take responsibility to ensure they have the best possible induction into the business.
- Host regular team meetings and training and development sessions for your team to foster the continuous improvement mindset throughout the business
- Help people understand their role, what’s expected and how they fit in by creating opportunities for regular discussion and manage performance of the team through regular 1-2-1’s, performance reviews and setting goals and development opportunities.
- Ensure that professional training for team members is appropriate for present and future needs of store whilst also ensuring the supervision complies with legislation
- Aim to consistently exceed all personal and team goals.
- Ensure the team is appropriately staffed to ensure the most effective running of the store operations
- Act as an ambassador for Specsavers at all times
