As a Trainee Optical Assistant, you don’t need to have previous experience, you just need to be prepared to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team, making sure every patient receives the best care in our stores. 

Our store

Our store is located in the charming West Park Farm area of Folkestone, within Sainsbury’s on Park Farm Road, and is a welcoming hub for the local community. Following a recent re-fit, the store now boasts a modern, refreshed look that makes it an even better place to work and shop. Getting here is easy – regular bus routes serve the area, and Folkestone West train station is just a short distance away. If you’re driving, the parking is convenient and free, making your commute hassle-free. At Specsavers West Park Farm, you’ll be joining a well-established, community-focused team that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care. The store opened in 2009 and has grown under the leadership of two dedicated directors, with many team members celebrating over a decade of service. We foster a supportive and collaborative environment, offering regular social and training events to keep our team connected and continually developing.
