Pick Your Perk Terms

Terms and conditions

In these terms and conditions of the Scheme, “We”, “Us”, “Ours” refers to Specsavers Recruitment Services, and “You”, “Your”, and “Yours” refers to the individual making the entry.  

There is the possibility of a total payment of up to £20,000 for optometrists, dispensing opticians and contact lens opticians in certain roles (“together referred to as the ‘Pick Your Perk incentive’) as follows:

For optometrists: this comprises the £10,000 incentive payment (“Incentive Payment”) applicable to certain optometrist roles subject to the conditions below.  There is also a £10,000 welcome bonus (also referred to as a ‘Golden Hello’) (“Welcome Bonus”) which is also applicable to certain roles and subject to the conditions below. 

For dispensing opticians: this comprises the £14,000 Incentive Payment applicable to certain optometrist roles subject to the conditions below.  There is also a £6,000 Welcome Bonus which is also applicable to certain roles and subject to the conditions below. 

For contact lens opticians: this comprises the £14,000 Incentive Payment applicable to certain optometrist roles subject to the conditions below.  There is also a £6,000 Welcome Bonus which is also applicable to certain roles and subject to the conditions below.  

In order to be eligible for the Pick Your Perk incentive (therefore either the Incentive Payment and/or Welcome Bonus for your applicable role), You must not be a current employee of Specsavers Optical Group Company, Specsavers Optical Superstores Limited or any Specsavers high street, domiciliary or Sainsbury business.

Both the Incentive Payment and Welcome Bonus is for external Optometrists, Dispensing Optician or Contact Lens Opticians only. Any candidate already working for any Specsavers company, or who ceased to work for any Specsavers company within the 6 months prior to the referral, is ineligible for any payment under the Pick Your Perk incentive.

You must apply for an optometrist, dispensing optician or contact lens optician vacancy at any Specsavers high street, domiciliary or Sainsbury business via the Specsavers Recruitment Team at Specsavers Recruitment Services (SRS)

Incentive Payment 

The Incentive Payment will only be awarded for an applicable vacancy if the following conditions are met:  

1. You must have had an initial engagement with the SRS Resourcing team between 28th February-31st March 2026 (the “Incentive Duration”);

2. You are subsequently offered an optometrist, dispensing optician or contact lens optician role (as applicable) at any Specsavers high street, domiciliary or Sainsbury business which must be accepted in writing within two months of your initial engagement with SRS; and

3. upon successful completion of your probation period in the new optometrist role.

The incentive payment will be made to your bank as part of payroll, at the end of the successful completion of your three-month probationary period. The incentive payment will be subject to relevant deductions for income tax and national insurance and any other taxes. If you leave your role within 12 months, you will be liable to repay the full sum received.

Welcome Bonus  

The Welcome Bonus is separate to the Incentive Payment and will only be applicable for certain vacancies as confirmed by SRS. 

The Welcome Bonus will only be paid if the following conditions are met: 

1. SRS has confirmed in advance and prior to you accepting any employment offer that the role attracts a Welcome Bonus;

2. You are subsequently offered an optometrist, dispensing optician or contact lens optician role (as applicable) at any Specsavers high street, domiciliary or Sainsbury business which must be accepted in writing within two months of your initial engagement with SRS.

The Welcome Bonus will be made to your bank as part of payroll, with 50% paid with your first salary payment and the final 50% upon successful completion of 12 months continuous employment in the role. The Welcome Bonus will be subject to relevant deductions for income tax and national insurance and any other taxes. If you leave your role within 12 months, you will be liable to repay the full Welcome Bonus received. 

The Pick Your Perk incentive is not applicable to all vacancies and your Resourcing Partner will confirm if your application falls under this incentive at the start of the recruitment process.

The Pick Your Perk incentive is for a limited number of placements, and we reserve the right to withdraw the Pick Your Perk incentive at any time.

In the event of any issue or dispute, the decision of the Head of Resourcing Operations is final.  

We reserve the right to review, change or withdraw the Pick Your Perk incentive at any time without notice. By continuing to take part in the Pick Your Perk incentive  subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, You shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms. 

With regard to the Data Protection Act 2018, and any other law that may apply with regard to the holding and processing of the personal information, by making this application You consent for Specsavers [Specsavers Recruitment Services “SRS”] to hold your data for these purposes.  

We accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not received due to technical disruptions, network congestions or for any other reason, or for any damage, loss or injury resulting from your acceptance of the scheme. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall in any way limit our liability for any other matter where liability may not be limited as a matter of law. 

The Pick Your Perk incentive shall be operated under the laws of England and Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
