Relocation and Welcome Package
These Terms & Conditions apply to external candidates being offered a relocation and welcome package by Specsavers Recruitment Services Ltd (SRS).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the relocation and welcome package, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident of the UK or Republic of Ireland (ROI).
- Be a GOC-registered Optometrist (OO).
- Be relocating at least 2 hours from their current residence and continuing to work within the UK or ROI.
- Be relocating to an agreed Specsavers business.
Relocation and Welcome Package Overview
The total support package is valued at a maximum of £29,000, comprising:
- £10,000 Welcome Bonus (taxable).
- £8,000 Relocation Support (may be tax-free under HMRC's "Settling In Services" (SIS) exemption, subject to eligibility).
- £11,000 Enhanced Relocation Support, broken down as follows:

| Accommodation Costs | Up to £9,000 | Paid over a maximum of 6 months. £1,500 per month for families or £800 per month for individuals. Evidence required. Reimbursed monthly. |
| Travel Home Bursary | £1,000 | One-off taxable payment, paid upon successful completion of probation. |
| ProTenant Relocation Support | Up to £1,000 | Bespoke support. Only services from our approved supplier ProTenant are eligible. |
Taster / Locum Days
Candidates may be offered the opportunity to attend Taster or Locum Days at the store prior to joining. These are subject to the following conditions:
- Must be pre-approved by the hiring store and SRS.
- Paid at the agreed locum day rate.
- Subject to availability and scheduling.
- No obligation to accept a permanent role following taster days.
Additional Terms
- Accommodation Costs must be paid by the candidate and reclaimed monthly with valid receipts. Upfront payments will not be made.
- ProTenant is our chosen relocation support provider, and we will not cover costs of services provided through any other provider.
- All payments of enhanced relocation support are fully funded by Specsavers Recruitment Services Ltd (SRS).
- This offer is non-transferable and subject to change or withdrawal at the discretion of SRS.
- In the event of a dispute, the final decision rests with the Resourcing Director of Specsavers Recruitment Services (SRS).
