Bring your communication skills to a team that loves great stories - and help shape our employer brand across Northern Europe during this 12‑month parental leave cover.
At Specsavers, we're dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to all. As pioneers and a global leader in innovative technologies, we help people optimise their vision and hearing. We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.
We’re now looking for a Communication Consultant to join our Employer Branding team for a 12‑month parental leave cover - someone who can help future colleagues understand who we are, what we stand for, and why Specsavers is a great place to build a career. If you have a journalistic mindset, love storytelling, and know how to bring employer brand narratives to life across channels, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
Your role
As our new Employer Branding Communication Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping the messages we share across our five Northern European markets. You’ll work across online and offline channels — from trade magazines to career websites and social media — ensuring our communication is clear, relevant, and authentically reflects who we are as an employer.
You will:
Lead and coordinate content for trade magazines across the region, acting as the main point of contact for editors, recruiters, and PR. Create relevant messaging aligned with the communication plan, brief and coordinate with the Design team, and track performance.
Ensure content on all Employer Branding platforms and supports the team’s overall communication strategy.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and create engaging, relevant, and on-brand content for Employer Branding channels (e.g. organic social media, newsletters, print materials, career websites).
Keep an eye on trends and proactively bring new content ideas that resonate with our target groups.
Support monitoring of traffic and performance metrics, turning insights into clear recommendations to optimise the content strategy.
Always on the lookout for the good and relevant employer branding stories that fit into the EB communication strategy.
Your new team
Reporting to our Senior Communication Manager, Northern Europe, you’ll join a passionate Employer Branding team dedicated to telling meaningful stories and building a strong employer brand across Northern Europe. We work closely with local markets, PR colleagues, designers, recruiters, and specialists across the region — collaborating across countries and functions daily.
You’ll be based in our Nordhavn office — a bright, purpose‑built workplace featuring collaborative spaces, great coffee, and a rooftop terrace with harbour views. We offer flexible working and a warm, down‑to‑earth culture where curiosity, creativity, and courage are valued.
Join our global team of friendly, talented, and passionate colleagues. Enjoy a competitive salary package with perks such as pensions, (health insurance), free eye care vouchers, and more.
Grow in your role with free access to online learning, monthly one-on-one conversations with your manager, and increased responsibility.
We offer a fun work environment with great coffee, laughter, table tennis tournaments, team events, holiday celebrations, virtual Friday quizzes, and more.
Your qualifications
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re both creative and structured — someone who can switch between sparking new ideas and executing them with precision.
Additionally, you’ll have:
Strong understanding of strategic communication and how to align messaging with business goals
A journalistic mindset with a proactive approach to finding great employee stories
Excellent writing skills — able to contextualise content that brings employee stories to life on our Employer branding channels.
Experience managing the full content lifecycle, from idea to delivery
Confidence working cross‑functionally and navigating a matrix organisation
Strong planning and project management skills, able to prioritise and consistently meet deadlines
Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language
Desirable qualifications:
Experience with employer branding communication
Data-driven and strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into meaningful actions and content.
Has experience collaborating with videographers on social media content.
