As our Senior PR and Communications Manager, you'll lead our public relations and internal communication activities in Finland, while supporting our important public affairs agenda as well. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring our communications are clear, consistent and engaging while supporting the delivery of our business plan.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute public relations, public affairs and communication activities that strengthen Specsavers' reputation and support business priorities in Finland.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media, industry organisations, public stakeholders and key decision-makers.
- Drive proactive media outreach and identify storytelling opportunities that strengthen both consumer and employer brand visibility.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on communication, reputation and stakeholder matters.
- Lead internal communication activities across Finland, ensuring colleagues in our stores and at our support office receive relevant, engaging and consistent communication.
- Develop communication materials including press releases, presentations, key messages and content across multiple channels and audiences.
- Support crisis communication and reputation management activities when needed, including participation in the Incident Management Team.
- Monitor media coverage, public sentiment and societal developments, providing insights and recommendations that support business decision-making.
What you’ll bring
We're seeking an experienced communications professional who combines strong communication expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills and commercial awareness. We need someone who can confidently navigate both external and internal communications while building trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape.
To fulfil this role at Specsavers, you should align with the following requirements:
- Significant experience within PR, corporate communications, media relations and public affairs or a similar communications discipline.
- Proven experience developing and executing communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the Finnish media landscape, stakeholder environment and reputation management.
- Experience working with internal communications and advising leaders on communication-related matters.
- Excellent copywriting, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Native-level Finnish and strong business English skills. Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
On a more personal level, we believe being proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented will help you thrive in this role. You'll enjoy success here if you're curious about business, society and current affairs, have strong professional judgement and enjoy building relationships that create meaningful impact.
