Your role
As our Regional Relationship Manager (RRM), you’ll be part of a team responsible for driving close and effective working relationships with our Partners. As the primary contact for Partners in your region, you will be responsible for supporting them to maximize the performance and profit of their Specsavers Businesses.
Success will be achieved through building strong trust-based relationships with Partners, allowing you to develop their store performance and growth strategies. You will provide retail operational support to the stores and support the implementation of the group strategy.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
Growth and profitability
Develop and deliver a strategic and tactical annual plan for your region and work with various internal stakeholders to deliver the region’s annual plan as one team.
Support and coach the Partners to deliver a market leading customer service and develop strategies with Partners to own their local area to be the market leader.
Manage business performance, grow market share and maximise sales and profits by recognising and releasing potential within the existing estate, as well as identifying new business opportunities.
Focus on an integrated optics and audiology customer journey, to maximise the business.
Deliver a capacity plan to ensure we have the appropriate physical capacity in our stores for future growth.
Partner relationship
Build a trusting, supportive and meaningful business relationship with the Partners in order to support them to grow and develop their business.
Operate as the positive conduit for two-way communication between the stores and support office, taking ownership for resolving issues for Partners.
Ensure the Practice Support Program is implemented in all new stores and the Partner Support Program is in place for all BD and BTS situations, to ensure a smooth transition and maximum support for all new/incoming Partner(s).
Partner Development and People Plan
Actively work with the Partners to develop their personal development plans (acting as coach / mentor as appropriate).
Support the induction and development of Partners and Partners in Development (PID) within your region and seek to continually improve the quality of Partners of the future.
Support the development of Partners in the understanding of their own leadership style and the impact it has on their team/staff and how this will impact business goals and objectives.
Risk management
You will be actively involved in driving improvement, development and exploiting every opportunity for all (TAPS) Turn Around Profit stores within your region.
Ensure stores consistently represent the brand and are always compliant to group standards.
Impartially facilitate two-way communications and mediation between SIBV and Partners; and between Partners, attempting to resolve issues without the need for board intervention.
In the role you’ll report directly to our Senior Relationship Manager, Anthony Moonen Travel within your region is to be expected on a weekly basis, and occasional travel within the Northern European region is to be expected in the role.
Your new team
As RRM, you’ll become an integral part of the dynamic Store Operations team, collaborating closely with talented colleagues both in stores and support office. Our team boasts an impressive collective experience of 10 years in the field, with some members having dedicated many years to Specsavers while others bring fresh perspectives. Our team operates both on-site at Dutch country support office and embraces hybrid work, offering flexibility.

You’ll work in the field and at our Dutch support office based in Maarssen. Our office features many collaborative spaces and a good central location.

Your qualifications
We’re looking to recruit an experienced and commercially minded individual who is familiar with multi-site retail or commercial operations. Since the success of this role relies very much on the ability to build strong and meaningful business partnering relationships, we imagine that you’ve held a similar role previously, dealing with business owners/ store managers. Your confidence and ability to influence, challenge, coach, and guide others will be crucial to delivering the results needed, and you’ll also need to demonstrate:

Well versed in mediation techniques, proven negotiator and an experienced business coach.
Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, including self-awareness, social awareness and relationship management.
Ability to present effectively and to all levels and adapt your communication style to suit your audience and engage and present in a variety of different forums.

A great communicator and fluent in both Dutch and English.
