The role
At Specsavers, we believe in changing lives through better sight and hearing, and our Global Frame Development team plays a big part in making that happen. We’re the people behind every frame in our stores, bringing together creativity, commercial thinking, and true customer focus. As a Frame Buyer, you’ll join a team that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and doing what’s right for customers across our global markets.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of your own frame categories, shaping product ranges that feel fresh, relevant, and commercially strong. You’ll spend your days blending design knowledge with market insight whilst writing thoughtful, insight led product briefs, guiding internal design teams, and partnering closely with suppliers to bring great ideas to life. Experience in buying within the optical sector whether frames, lenses, or wider eyewear categories will be a real advantage, helping you make confident decisions rooted in product performance, customer needs, and commercial outcomes. Along the way, you’ll handle negotiations with confidence, proactively manage and optimise supplier relationships, build strong long-term partnerships, and use your judgement to ensure every frame offers real value and aligns with Specsavers’ high standards.
You’ll also play a crucial part in steering launches smoothly from idea to delivery. That means preparing samples and documentation with care, managing multiple timelines at once, and spotting potential issues early so everything stays on track. You’ll enjoy keeping a finger on the pulse of global fashion, culture, materials, and eyewear trends, turning observations into meaningful recommendations. Visiting markets, exploring competitors, attending trade shows, and digging into sales data will all help you shape ranges that excite our customers. Your understanding of optical product performance and customer preferences will further support your ability to build commercially credible, innovative collections.
Collaboration sits at the core of the role. You’ll work closely with teams across Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, Quality, Marketing, and our Hong Kong office, communicating openly and helping bring product stories to life. You’ll also act as a key link between Specsavers and our supplier base, ensuring clear communication, consistent quality standards, and mutually beneficial outcomes that support both innovation and operational excellence. Through it all, your organisation, positivity, resilience, and passion for design will help create a team culture where people feel supported, inspired, and proud of what they achieve together.
If you love great product, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want to make a real impact, we’d be excited to hear from you.
