Position: Lead Optometrist

Location: Shirley, Southampton

Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on experience + bonus + £10,000 joining bonus paid on successful completion of probation + Up to £8,000 relocation assistance (terms apply) plus Uncapped performance related bonus earning up to £9,600 per year

Working hours: 40 hours - Full time or part time hours considered - minimum 4 days

Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist with experience supervising or be willing to supervise pre-reg’s

A rare opportunity has become available for a Lead Optometrist to join Specsavers in Shirley, Southampton. We are looking for a Lead Optometrist, where alongside testing you’ll take on additional responsibilities.  Specsavers in Shirley are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join their team of 15.  With 4 test rooms and 20/25-minute testing, you can be part of a bigger team as Specsavers Shirley are part of a cluster, having 4 stores, giving you the opportunity to focus at one or experience all 4 if you want to. 

Working with our Directors you will have an input into the making of key business decisions within the store, you will drive clinical and commercial excellence as well as supervising a pre-registration Optometrist.

Location

Shirley is a former village located on the western side of Southampton with its focus of the area being retail and residential. Specsavers Shirley is a 10-minute drive from Southampton Central train station. There is also a direct bus link from Southampton station to Shirley Specsavers which takes 15 minutes.
