Optical Lab Technician

As a Lab technician, you will use the latest computer-controlled equipment with an eye for detail & accuracy, allowing you to maintain high standards to maximise customer satisfaction.

Based on the High Street in Sheerness we are ideally situated in this seaside town, located on the Isle of Sheppey. We are close to the train station and have good transport links - our busy store is a hub of activity where no two days are the same.

What does the role involve? 

Day-to-day, you’ll help us out by producing customer orders from scratch, interpreting optical prescriptions and drawings, correcting faults and re-assembling of glasses, carrying out testing and adjustments, prepare and maintain materials and equipment. You’ll also make sure that you are producing the highest quality assured product.   

What we’re looking for?  

• Experience of Optical blocking, glazing and tinting
• Ability to assemblle spectacles
• QC and verification experience
• Previous exposure and competency with administration in an Optical lab environment
