Specsavers has been officially recognised as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for 2025 by Great Place to Work®, ranking 4th in the national Top 10 in the large business category. This marks the third consecutive year the business has earned a place on the list – a standout achievement that reflects its strong workplace culture and leadership in the retail and healthcare sectors.
As a purpose-led organisation, Specsavers continues to invest in its people, recognising that a high-performing, engaged workforce is key to delivering exceptional customer care and driving sustainable business growth.
“Being named the 4th Best Workplace in Australia and being listed as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for the third-year running is a proud moment for Specsavers,” says Paul Bott, Managing Director ANZ.
“This recognition reflects the strength of our culture and the commitment of our partners and our people. It’s a powerful endorsement of our vision to build a business where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to do their best work – because when our teams thrive, our customers benefit.”
With over 400 stores nationwide, Specsavers is proud to be a trusted name in eye and hearing care, helping millions of Australians see and hear better every year. The company’s people-first approach is embedded across the organisation, from leadership development and wellbeing initiatives to flexible work practices and inclusive policies.
Specsavers’ investment in its teams is not only enhancing employee experience but also strengthening its reputation as an employer of choice in the competitive retail and healthcare sectors. “Creating a great place to work isn’t just about benefits – it’s about empowering people with purpose, connection, and creating opportunity,” says Karen Clancy, Director of People ANZ.
“We’re proud of the culture we’ve built, and even prouder of how our people continue to shape it. This recognition is a reflection of their energy, ideas, and commitment to making Specsavers a place where everyone can thrive.”
The Best Workplaces™ in Australia List celebrates organisations that create environments where employees feel genuinely valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their best work. Each company earns its place through rigorous analysis of confidential employee feedback and organisational culture, making it one of the most comprehensive assessments of workplace excellence in the country.
“The 2025 Best Workplaces in Australia list represents organisations that understand culture is their greatest strategic asset," said Rebecca Moulynox, General Manager of Great Place to Work ANZ. “These companies have proven that when you build a workplace founded on trust, pride and camaraderie, you create the conditions for both employee flourishing and exceptional business performance.”
This year’s assessment captured insights from 158,749 Australian employees across all sectors and organisation sizes – making it the largest evaluation of workplace culture in Australia’s history. Bott says that being recognised as a Great Place to Work® has been a powerful affirmation of the Specsavers culture.
“Being recognised as a Great Place to Work® is a testament to the culture we’ve nurtured at Specsavers. It’s more than an accolade – it reflects the everyday commitment of our people to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered. The impact has been felt across every corner of the business.”
