“I knew that I wanted to step into ownership, but I couldn’t commit to a standard five-day work week because I have three beautiful babies. Work-life balance was what I needed, and Specsavers was very receptive to that.”
Meet Dr. Mannie Dhillon and find out her 3 keys to success for optometrists.
Dr. Mannie Dhillon has had a passion for biomedical sciences for as long as she can remember. Coupled with her devotion to wanting to help people, she felt that the field of optometry brought these two passions together perfectly. After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, she realized optometry was undoubtedly the right decision. Since then, Dr. Dhillon has opened her very own clinic with Specsavers and is continuously amazed by and look forward to the future of this profession.
With years of experience under his belt, Dr. Yang takes a lot of pride and enjoyment in sharing what he’s learned with the future generation of optometrists.
Dr. Minhas has always put her patients’ needs above all, which is why it was important for her to find a company that aligned with her values. At Specsavers, the foundation stone of the business is to provide accessible and affordable eyecare to all individuals. Unlike other optometry clinics that charge fees for additional testing, every patient at Specsavers, regardless of their economic status, can obtain a comprehensive eye examination.
Since completing the program, Pathway has opened up several opportunities for me. While that could easily have been a store ownership role in the UK, instead I have opted for a leadership role with the Specsavers Canada support office.
