Become a Home Visits Optical Assistant
As an Optical Assistant, you'll get to spend quality time with patients, getting to know them and understanding what's most important them. You'll work with an Optometrist to support them and ensure they have the time to focus on the clinical parts of each visit. We'll be there to support your training and development, including giving you the chance to complete a Level 3 BTEC to improve your understanding of dispensing. Many of our businesses also offer part-time working.
What do you need?
You'll need to have optical experience under your belt, whether that's six months or more. But don't worry about having the experience of domiciliary, because we'll teach you everything you need to know before you start. You'll also need to be a confident driver with a full UK driving licence. And if you're not sure if the role is right for you, we offer taster days so you can experience domiciliary for yourself.
