The role

Are you passionate about coaching and developing people? Do you have experience in optics and enjoy delivering engaging coaching sessions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Apprentice Coach at Specsavers!

 

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering structured coaching sessions to a caseload of 25 apprentices across Devon & Cornwall, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required for their roles as Optical Assistants, and Customer Service representatives. You'll also support apprentices in improving their numeracy and literacy skills. You will be doing this within a two-hour radius of Devon & Cornwall with a 50/50 split between home working on in store delivery.

 

Your role will involve building strong relationships with store partners and managers, planning and carrying out face-to-face sessions, and using a variety of teaching and assessment tools to deliver interactive virtual coaching sessions.

 

We're looking for someone with a passion for coaching and developing people, experience in delivering coaching sessions, and strong communication and influencing skills. You should be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and have experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. A clean driving license and the ability to travel regionally are also required. 2 years clinical optical lab experience and you will need a GCSE A-C in Maths and English or equivalent is essential. 

 

This is a 15 month maternity cover position, covering Devon & Cornwall.
