Specsavers Colwyn Bay/Rhyl in North Wales are looking for a Dispensing Optician to join their wonderful team. We have been serving our community for 18 years and are dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receives an excellent patient experience. If you are a Dispensing Optician ready to use your passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever-growing and loyal customer base we would love to hear from you. With a focus on flexibility, we are open to full-time and part-time applicants and will consider different working patterns that suit you. We can also offer full-time hours across 4 days, if you would prefer, to give you a better work life balance. We’re fully equipped with 5 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 28 – which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. Located on the north coast of Wales and overlooking the Irish Sea, Colwyn Bay is a town and seaside resort situated in Conwy County Borough, which is about a 40-minute drive from Chester. Although it falls within the historic county of Denbighshire, Colwyn Bay has grown significantly over time to become the second-largest community and business centre in the northern part of Wales, as well as the 14th largest in the country. Our store is conveniently located adjacent to the train station, and just off the A55. Colwyn Bay is easily accessible from Chester to Bangor and everywhere in between.

- Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

We do need you to have a few skills to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need a BSc (HONS) in Ophthalmic Dispensing and an excellent understanding of both the optics and audiology customer journeys.
