Salary: Total package worth up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience

Working hours: 4-day working week with one weekend day per week or alternate full weekends

Experience level: This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC

Specsavers in Guildford are looking for a forward-thinking Optometrist to join them on a full time basis. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, they are looking for someone who is passionate about their career and providing exceptional patient care.

With a focus on flexibility, Guildford are offering a 4-day working week (40 hours) instead of the traditional 5-day week which will include either one weekend day per week or alternate full weekends meaning you will have a great work-life balance.

The store opened in 1997 and is a firm pillar in the local community. You will be joining a highly successful and experienced team of 35, some who have worked in the store for 20+ years! Within the team there are fully trained Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians as well as experienced and pre-registration Optometrists, allowing you to focus on what you do best. If you’re looking for clinical exposure you will achieve this in Guildford as they have a high volume of MECs appointments as well a pre and post cataract assessments.

This fantastic 7 test room store has all the latest clinical technology and equipment including Nidek OCT and Phoropters in every room. With a planned refurbishment in the coming months, Guildford will undergo a full refit, giving you a brand new and modern working environment.

We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team.
