The role

Would you like a role where you can make a real difference to people in their own homes? If so, sounds like you’d be a great fit here. If you’ve ever considered a career in optics, this Call Handler role could be perfect for you.

As a Call Handler with Specsavers Home Visits, you don’t need to have previous optics experience, you just need to be prepared to create an outstanding experience for our customers each and every time.

This office-based role will primarily involve receiving a high volume of incoming calls and making outbound calls and booking appointments for our customers. We are looking for someone who has an excellent telephone manner and is confident dealing with people. There will be some admin duties required in this role too.

Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and have experience working in a call centre type environment. This is a busy and fast-paced role, so we are looking for someone who can work at pace and has excellent time management and organisational skills.

You’ll be surrounded and supported by a team bringing care to the homes of the people who can’t come into our stores.

Essentially, you’ll be making a real difference here.

Our office

Our Home Visits office is in Brentwood, Essex.

Our team

We have a wonderful team of dedicated people ready and waiting to meet you.

What’s on offer?

As well as all the support you need and great training and development opportunities, we have a whole load of benefits on offer for you to enjoy. These include:

  • Salary: up to £16,112 per annum
  • Part-time: 24 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday & Friday 9am-5.30pm
  • 28 days leave (pro rata)
  • Specsavers Perks – access to a portal packed with great everyday discounts and savings
  • WeCare – an employee support service providing help for you and your immediate family when you need it most
  • Complimentary Headspace subscription to support your health and wellbeing
  • Pension scheme, with an employer contribution when you contribute too
  • An additional paid day off on your birthday – because you deserve to celebrate you!

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous call centre experience
  • Excellent telephone-based customer service skills
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A friendly, confident and professional approach when speaking with customers
  • Optical experience would be advantageous, but isn’t essential

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, loves being organised and takes pride in providing great customer service.

If you’re ready to make a difference to our patients and support our home visits team, we’d love to hear from you!
