Our IT team supports the everyday running and future growth of the Specsavers business and stores through innovation, design, development, testing, maintenance, management and support of our complex IT services. It’s at the cutting edge of retail technology and we were delighted to win the Mobile App of the Year Award for Digital Precision Care at the BCS UK IT Industry Awards. The IT team encompasses a number of varied roles – from helpdesk support to systems and software engineers.

One of our biggest priorities right now is to revolutionise our customer experience and IT/technology are an integral part of this. To help us achieve this we have some exciting plans and we need some amazing technically-minded people to help us deliver this.

What we are doing to care for each other during the coronavirus outbreak

The safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, candidates and customers is our first priority.  Given the evolving COVID-19 situation, we want you to know that we are taking this situation very seriously and ensuring we are taking appropriate steps to look after each other.

We are carefully monitoring the situation and adjusting our ways of working in accordance with government advice. As a consequence of the situation we have made the difficult decision to pause some of our recruitment activity until further notice. We do still have some active vacancies online but we will, of course, take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our candidates and colleagues. This means that any interviews scheduled will be conducted via phone or using virtual meeting facilities – your recruiter will guide you through the process.
