Retail Summit: Specsavers colleagues can help

At Specsavers, we are always looking at ways to enhance our partner interactions and experiences, and this week we delivered our first Specsavers Retail Summit, held at the ICC Birmingham.

The event saw over 200 store-facing colleagues and partners come together to the hear the latest business updates from across the business starting with a Gala dinner with guest speaker Jamal Qureshi, who shared an engaging session around divergent thinking and how to think like the ‘outsider’. During dinner courses we treated guests to three rounds of musical bingo game and followed up with a DJ.

But, the main event was the Retail Summit Conference, and organisers Richard Andrews and Paul McFadyen started the day by sharing the purpose of the summit: to build long-lasting networks and relationships with a “Yes, I can help” approach to all partner queries and interactions.

For the remainder of the conference, delegates attended workshops delivered by key business areas before a special Q&A session with UK board members to finish off the day.

Richard and Paul were thrilled with the success of the event: ‘The energy throughout the dinner and conference was electric and we are sure everyone will be able to confidently say ‘Yes, I can help’ with all business categories now.’

Overall, the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and peers was certainly a key theme from all the delegates. Watch the highlights video to learn more below.
